Service Warranty

By accepting our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Warranty.

1. Coverage

This Warranty applies only to the equipment that was specifically worked on by Gate Tech Inc. during the repair service. The Warranty covers:

  • Defective parts (materials) used during the repair.
  • Workmanship errors that affect the proper operation of the repaired equipment.
  • Operational issues caused by faulty repair service related specifically to the equipment worked on.

This Warranty does not extend to any other components, systems, or equipment that were not repaired or worked on by Gate Tech Inc.

2. Warranty Period

The Warranty begins on the date of completion of the repair work and lasts for 30 days. If the equipment worked on experiences any issues covered under this Warranty during the specified period, Gate Tech Inc. will, at its discretion:

  • Repair or replace the defective part(s).
  • Re-perform any necessary services at no additional charge.

3. Exclusions

This Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal Wear and Tear: Damage due to normal usage or aging of the system.
  • Customer Negligence: Damages resulting from improper use, lack of maintenance, or unauthorized tampering with the system.
  • Acts of Nature: Damage caused by severe weather, natural disasters, vandalism, or accidents.
  • Third-Party Repairs: Any work performed by anyone other than Gate Tech Inc.
  • Improper Maintenance: Failure to maintain the gate and operator as instructed by Gate Tech Inc. will void this Warranty.
  • Damage to Vehicles, Property, or People: Damage to vehicles, property, or people caused by the gate or operator is excluded unless the damage is immediately reported to Gate Tech Inc. and inspected by our technicians within 24 hours of the incident. Failure to report and inspect within this time frame will void any warranty coverage related to damage to vehicles, property, or people.

4. Claim Process

To claim Warranty service, you must:

  1. Notify Gate Tech Inc. in writing or by phone within 30 days of discovering any defect or issue covered under this Warranty.
  2. Provide a detailed description of the problem, including photos or video if available.
  3. The Warranty will only cover issues directly related to the equipment worked on, and no other issues or components outside of the scope of the service provided will be covered.
  4. Allow Gate Tech Inc. to inspect the repaired equipment to determine if the issue is covered under this Warranty.

5. Limitations of Liability

This Warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Gate Tech Inc.’s liability under this Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts or workmanship of the equipment specifically worked on, and the value of the warranty will not exceed the cost of the service provided. We shall not be liable for any incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of the gate or operator, including but not limited to loss of use, business interruption, or property damage.

6. Transferability

This Warranty is valid only for the original customer and is non-transferable. If the property is sold or transferred to a new owner during the Warranty period, the Warranty may be void.

7. Maintenance Responsibilities

For the Warranty to remain valid, the customer must:

  • Perform regular maintenance on the gate and operator system as instructed by Gate Tech Inc.
  • Ensure that the system is in proper working condition through periodic inspections.

8. Terms of Service

Gate Tech Inc. reserves the right to update, modify, or amend the terms of this Warranty at any time, with prior notification to the Customer.

9. Governing Law

This Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Installation Warranty

Gate Tech Inc. warrants to the purchaser (“owner”) that all furnished products will be free from manufacturing defects or issues caused by improper installation for a period of one (1) year from date of completion (indicated by final invoice date). Gate Tech shall have no obligation under this warranty if owner or users subject any part of the installation to improper conditions or fails to follow required maintenance. Gate Tech Inc.’s responsibility and obligation under this warranty shall be effective only after payment in full for all products provided or installed.  

Installation warranty covers repairs on installed equipment through one year from date of completion. Excluded from this coverage is (including but not limited to) surge damage, vehicle strikes, vandalism, flooding, misuse, Issues caused by service providers such as phone, power or internet, preexisting equipment or wiring. Service rendered under this warranty to be performed during normal working hours. Determination of warranty coverage is at the discretion of Gate Tech Inc and component manufacturers.

Limited Gate Warranty

Gate Tech Inc. extends to the original purchaser of ornamental fence (the fence) and ornamental gates (the gate) a warranty that our gates will be free from defects in workmanship and materials. To the original purchaser we warranty that the standard electrostatically applied powder coat finish will not crack, chip, or peel. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by use other than the product  intended and designed purpose, including negligence, abuse, accident, acts of nature, alteration, chalking, fading, improper installation by others, misuse, or vandalism.

 Where corrosive or other harsh environments may exist e.g. near large bodies of water and in large cities, cleaning is recommended more frequently than once per year.

Gates should be cleaned with mild soap and a soft cotton cloth. Cleaned areas should be immediately rinsed. Other solvents may damage or chemically alter the finish and would void the warranty. Pressure washing may damage the finish and using a high power washer in excess of 500 PSI can cause physical damage to the gate.

The gate should be cleaned using the prescribed method at least once a year from the date of installation. Gates with stock finish installed under this warranty will be covered for (7) years from date of installation. Gates installed within 1 mile from the saltwater coastline or using custom finishes shall be under warranty for a period of (3) years from date of installation.

The following acts and/or omissions will void the subject warranty:

  • Damage to the product from vehicle or other substantial moving object contact, rubbing of components in dual gate arrangements, or impact with static objects.
  • Damage to the product caused by the property owner by use of landscape, gardening equipment or chemicals that may cause damage, and/or water sprinklers with high mineral content/ Graywater/reclaimed water.
  • Damage caused by allowing plant life of any sort, including tree sap, to grow directly upon or be in contact with any portion of the product.
  • Damaged caused by foreign objects attached or rubbing against gate.
  • Any alteration of the gate or hardware including but not limited to welding cutting or failure to adhere to manufacturer warranty
  •  Failure to follow any and all maintenance instructions provided by Gate Tech at the time of sale to the original purchaser, even if these instructions are not forwarded to the ultimate claimant under this warranty.

Should any gate manufactured by Gate Tech fail by the prescribed guidelines A claim of this warranty shall be submitted to Gate Tech in writing specifically describing the nature of the failure, together with a photograph of the defective portion of the product so that we may determine the validity of the claim. Gate Tech Inc. shall, at its discretion, either replace or repair the defective portion of the product. However, all removal, shipping and reinstallation costs are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Material may not be returned to Gate Tech without our express written consent.

Warranty limitations

The above sets forth the warranty from Gate Tech Inc. and the exclusive remedies with respect to the product. NO ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES ARE GIVEN, EXPRESS, STATUTORY OR IMPLIED. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABLITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. Gate Tech shall not in any event be responsible for consequential, personal injury or accidental damages. No person or entity is authorized to change, modify or supplement this warranty, and any such attempt and any other written or implied agreement shall not be valid. The Venue for any contests to this agreement shall be in Hillsborough County, FL.
