University of Florida’s Gulf Coast Research
The University of Florida’s Gulf Coast Research facility just upgraded their perimeter security with new gate, operators, and an access control system.
Being that the facility is in an isolated area of Hillsborough county it seemed like it would be a good idea to limit after-hours activity at the facility. We had the opportunity to work with UF’s contractor to make this happen. We were able to come up with a standalone access control system that allowed the employees to each have individual access codes for weekend and after-hours access and the facility automatically opens for normal business hours. We had the opportunity to train the on-site maintenance personal in the operation and programming giving them maximum control over their entrance.
- Wiegand Keypad means that each user has a unique code.
- Codes usage can be viewed from access system software.
- Auto open times are programmed from access system.
- PC programmable standalone system. The campus opted not to include any remote access so programming is done from the software and transferred at the control panel.
